Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Are Students Required to rent or purchase their own instruments?

Yes, students are required to rent or purchase an instrument. We work closely with Music & Arts, which offers great deals, including a low rental fee of around $30 a month. This fee can be easily paid off in 3 years. They have close locations in Stockbridge and Peachtree City, offer free maintenance, and provide great name brands such as Yamaha, Jupiter, or Giardenelli that last a lifetime.

2. Can We Buy Instruments From Online Stores Like Amazon?

While it may seem like a deal, buying cheap instruments online from places like Amazon can be problematic. These instruments often break quickly due to being made of cheap metals and wood, making them difficult to repair. Additionally, the poor materials used result in poor sound and intonation, which is not ideal for beginners aiming for excellence.

3. Are There Any Instruments Provided By The School?

es, certain instruments such as baritones, tubas, and percussion equipment will be rented from the school due to the high cost of renting these instruments. There is a yearly fee of $75 for these rentals, which goes towards their use and maintenance.

4. How Are School Payments Made?

All school payments can be made using cash, check, or money order. All checks should be addressed to Eddie White Academy Band.

5. Is There A Class Fee For Students?

Yes, students have a yearly class fee of $25. This fee covers the cost of their music textbook, binder, as well as reeds, valve oil, slide & cork grease.
